THEMES
LOVE & FAME

The two last Magic Birds on Earth want to be together all the time. But there are three villains who want to sperate them forever in order to become “Famous”.

Another aspect of the show is the desire for instant recognition and fame without effort. Such as being a celebrity or an influencer, a very current issue in today’s world.
PAST / PRESENT / FUTURE
The evil characters’ aspirations reflect three different time zones.
Marilyn’s deep-rooted wish involves conquering legendary villains of the past (e.g. Dr. Frankenstein, Count Dracula, Pirate Red beard) as she longs to turn into the “Most Famous Villain in History”.

Louis yearns to enjoy fame and success in the present by becoming “The Most Famous Artist of Today”.

Charlie’s ingrained desire to become “The Most Famous Superhero of the Universe” can be materialized in the future.

100% NON VIOLENCE

The cartoon’s lack of violence does not mean that it is short of action;contrariwise intense action is a dominant element in the story. The heroes’ adventures grip children as they offer them the opportunity to get indirectly involved in a wide range of fascinating, exciting and vigorous situations.

Children overcome physical and personal constraints by accompanying
the heroes on their journeys across space and time. These special trips are enriched with ingenious encounters with historical, mythological and literary figures that significantly strengthen children’s knowledge and imagination.
HUMAN VALUES
Overall, the cartoon conveys a variety of messages that cultivate children’s psychological landscape in a delicate, gentle, heartfelt and genuine manner. It gives wings to children’s dreams, power to their spirit, springs to their hope, colour to their goals and wheels to their potential. “Magic Birds” utmost contribution concerns the fact that it passionately strives for the protection and support of universal human values thus preventing them from becoming yet another “exhibit” in the Museum of Extinct Species.

MAGIC

“Magic Birds” offers a world of magic and fantasy that is especially fascinating to children and adults alike. All magical potency is encapsulated in the tears of Magic Birds. These tears are so powerful that even a single tear of sorrow can be employed to cast any spell while one tear of happiness instantly acts as a spell breaker. The ability to embark on a magical journey enchants most people as it frees them up from a variety of everyday constraints.

A sprinkle of magic enables individuals to overcome a variety of physical boundaries thus feel particularly liberated and invigorated. As far as children are concerned, most of them draw on their imaginative resources to make sense of the world and themselves. They construct their social and self-understanding by energetically plunging into fantasy and then taking tentative steps in the real world. “Magic Birds” provides them with a magical vehicle that can help them to identify the links between fantasy and reality thus pave the way towards finding their own place in the world.
LANGUAGE OF IMAGINATION
Children tend to express their feelings and thoughts through play as it is their natural medium of communication. They construct a variety of stories and images that are highly symbolic. These metaphors are rich in emotional and educational value. Therefore, the language of imagining could be the key to children’s world. “Magic Birds” is enchanting to children because it uses the language of imagining by providing a world filled with magic and fantasy.

LANGUAGE OF IDENDIFICATION

Children just like adults tend to identify with the heroes of a story. “Magic Birds” consists of characters that have personality characteristics that children can relate to (e.g. kindness, romance, insecurity, intelligence, innocence, tenderness, sentimentality, sensitivity, openness, jealousy, purity, spontaneity, innocence, competitiveness, capacity, fame, funniness and determination). In addition, the story’s themes and events resonate with the children to a certain extent.
THE IMPORTANCE OF FRIENDSHIP
The importance and value of friendship is emphasized when the three villains viciously separate the two Magic Birds, their faithful friends intervene to help them out in order to restore harmony. Thus, the message that is conveyed is that although the world out there can frequently feel like a jungle, friends can make it feel more affectionate, pleasant and secure.
On the contrary, the cartoon highlights the empowering elements of asking for help from appropriate people. In addition, the heroes’ altruistic behaviour provides children with a positive role model as it underlines the value of selfless giving and sharing.

ECO-FRIENDLY DIRECTION

The series touches upon ecological issues mainly through Carmen’s recycling attitude. Although Carmen comes up with her own recycling sorting system, she entertainingly introduces to children the idea of actively participating in saving the environment.Furthermore, the Museum of Extinct Species explicitly stresses the importance of engaging in ecological activities in order prevent various forms of life from becoming extinct. Research shows that exposure to environmental issues in early childhood lays the foundation of an ecological mentality and lifestyle.
